Established in 1829, Penzance CC is a community cricket club based in the seaside town of Penzance, Cornwall.
It is a club steeped in history, with over 185 years experience on the Cornish cricket circuit; having provided the Cornwall Minor Counties team with over 75 senior players, and even an England international in the form of Clifton 'Jack' Richards - who went on to play in 8 Test matches and 22 ODIs.
The club play their home games at St. Clare, which features some of the best facilities in the region.
The previous four years have seen the construction of a state-of-the-art pavilion, installation of an electronic score box, plus the arrival of a new sight-screen. 2016 brings further improvements both on and off the field, with the Club securing £60,000 funding for brand new outdoor nets; announcing plans for a brand new cricket academy, as well as some pedigree signings to bolster the playing sides.
Penzance Community Cricket Club currently fields four senior men's teams, a successful girl's team and an ever-growing youth section, from Under 11s through to Under 17s.
